EnviroCare covers air conditioning, pool heating, hot water, solar hot water, gas fires, hot tubs and maintenance contracts. The office is in Mijas, quotes are written and itemised, and new installations include a three-year parts and labour warranty.
We started EnviroCare in 1996, fitting air conditioning into the new villas and apartments going up around Mijas, Marbella and Calahonda. Three decades on, the same family still owns the business. Most of our work still comes through word of mouth.
Our customers are British and European homeowners who keep a property here. Some live in Spain year round. Some let theirs to holiday guests and need the system to run without supervision through August. Some are renovating an older villa. In every case, the quote needs to be clear about the work, the cost and the expected lifespan of the system.

We have been using Envirocare for almost nine years. They have installed four new AC units and a water heater for us. Recently, we completely renovated two bathrooms and added new sliding doors and windows to our terrace. The work has always been carried out professionally, at a reasonable price, and whenever a problem has arisen, they have always taken care of it. Sure, sometimes it takes a little time, but we’re not their only customer, so that’s understandable.
At the moment, we have a water leak from our rooftop terrace, and Envirocare is helping us with that as well. The entire terrace will be redone with a new moisture membrane and new tiles. I’m confident that this will be completed with the same high quality as all the other work they’ve done for us. They have also assisted us with smaller plumbing, electrical and gutter jobs.

Just had ducted air conditioning put in and I can honestly say much cheaper than the other 5 quotes I received and the same make and model as the others had quoted.They turned up on the day arranged and on time all workers very pleasant and polite . When they finished the install they cleaned up absolutely spotless . I don't often do reviews but I know I was very anxious having to pay money upfront etc . I hope this review helps others who are apprehensive about having air conditioning. Envirocare excellent and thank you

What does EnviroCare actually do?
EnviroCare installs, services and repairs air conditioning, pool heating, hot water systems, solar hot water, gas fires and hot tubs. Maintenance contracts keep those systems checked through the year. The sister company Masterbuild handles trades EnviroCare does not cover, including plumbing, painting and general building.
What areas do you cover?
EnviroCare works from a Mijas office and covers the Costa del Sol from Nerja in the east to Gibraltar in the west, plus inland Andalucia. The detailed area guides cover Marbella, Malaga, Estepona, Mijas and Fuengirola, but the team services towns either side of those on a regular basis.
Are you F-Gas registered?
Yes. EnviroCare engineers hold current F-Gas certification, which is the legal requirement in Spain for any work on refrigerant gas in air conditioning, heat-pump water heaters and pool heat pumps. Gas fires and gas water heaters are installed by a registered gas installer who issues the boletin the property owner needs for insurance and resale.
How quickly can you respond?
Most survey appointments happen within a week. Breakdown callouts are normally same-week and often next-day in peak summer for clients on a maintenance contract. Do I need to be at home for the survey?
Yes for most jobs. The engineer needs to see where the outdoor unit can sit, how the rooms are used, the existing pipework or wiring, and any community-of-owners constraints. Surveys take twenty to forty minutes and the quote follows in writing within a few days. Property managers can attend on behalf of absent owners if access is arranged.
Do you charge for quotes?
No. Site surveys and written quotes are free across the Costa del Sol. No deposit is taken until the quote is accepted and the install date is in the diary.
Which brands do you install?
Toshiba, Fujitsu, Mitsubishi and Panasonic for air conditioning, with Frimec at the value end. Vaillant, Junkers and Ariston for water heaters. Aquatermic and Vaillant for pool heat pumps. Promasol for residential solar hot water. The right brand depends on the property, the budget and how the system will be used.
